Delicious Dandelions

Hi Bloggers,

It has turned back to winter here in Lincolnshire. I hope the weather improves so that we can enjoy some time in the garden. The tulips are all in full flower at the moment and I am eagerly waiting to see what all the other shoots are that are emerging.

Here is a fun card where I used the delicious Dandelion Stamp from Honeydoo Stamps. I don't Know about you but I have some of these in my lawn just coming into flower, will have to cut them before they go to seed. Anyway back to the card. I designed a border with one of the smaller stamps then over stamped with black to give an interesting effect. That was matted and layered with a matching card stock. The centre is one of the larger stamps in the set stamped around a centre point was covered with the sentiment. A bow was added to complete the card.

Have a great bank holiday weekend. Take care
Janet

wild flowers

Another Simple Card using the Latest release from HoneyDoo. This one uses part of the wild flowers stamp to make a frame around the Sentiment from the Dream Sentiments set.. I painted the image with Mica Powders from the honeydoo range, which I also used to paint around the edge of pieces of card to form the mats. I hope you like it.

Hi Bloggers,
thanks for joining me this week.
Well last week Honey Doo Crafts was on Create and Craft, but not for long. They sold out in half an hour. As a consequence not all the samples were shown. Here is one of mine using the Roses are Red Stamp. I hope you like it. I will show some of my other samples over the next few days. Take care

Flowers

Hi Everyone, Thanks for stopping by.
Spring is here so I thought I would share something a little different for me, Flowers.
All these flowers were made from Cheery Lynn die Miniature Roses. I started by cutting lots of the flowers from white paper then I coloured with Pro Markers. Its always surprises me how many different flowers you can get from a single die, I am sure there are many more.

I finished off by making this simple card using the Astoria Decorative Elements die. All the dies are available from Oyster Papercrafts.

I hope you like it.
Take care

Retreat 2016

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to any new Bloggers and thanks to everyone for visiting I hope you enjoy reading all about my "Crafty Antics".

Well what a weekend, I have been very busy helping on the Sincerely Yours Retreat in Daventry. I met lots of wonderful ladies and we had a ball!

I had a great time and met some wonderful talented crafters I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

The weekend consisted of three workshops on Saturday and Sunday led by different tutors, a make and take on Friday evening and a crafty "lock in" on Saturday evening. All this while being fed and watered (Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages) at very regular intervals. The five star hotel is set in a stunning landscape in Daventry.  I can recommend it.
Enough about the weekend The projects my groups made are shown in the photos below. On Saturday we made a perpetual calendar. Well I use the term "made" loosely, a few people completed the project, most have taken home lots of homework. It was ambitious to expect to complete this in one and a half hours.

It consists of a series of boxes which we covered with backing paper made from stamping the Honey Doo Swirl Background.  The numbers were stamped on the squares of card using Honey Doo Bold and Outline numbers. Both stamps available from Oyster Papercrafts.

On Sunday we made a double slider card. We used Honey Doo Friendship Quotes, Flourishing duet and Falling Flowers stamps also available from Oyster Papercrafts.
As promised at the retreat I have included photographs of the placement of the slider for your information.

Thanks to all the team and delegates for a wonderful time and here's to the next one in November.
Take Care

A BOTTLE OF VINE

Hello Everyone, Glad you could join me this week.
I was browsing my card photos and found a couple of old favourites which I do not think I have blogged.
The first uses A Bottle of Vine Stamp from Honey Doo Crafts. I love it, but cutting out all those single small leaves was a labour of love.

The second card is one I made using the Swirl Background stamp which I stamped and embossed with silver embossing powder. I then distressed with three favourite distress colours and cut out using an old spelbinder die. I stamped an image in a larger diamond shape( I have stamped appropriate numbers in here on a similar card)
A simple card yet I love it.

Take care until next week
Janet
